DottorandoSapienza Università di Roma
After the BA in Oriental Languages at Ca’ Foscari University in 2017 (Sanskrit, Hindi, Persian), I got a MA in Religious Studies at University of Padua (2019). Currently I am a PhD student at University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Dipartimento Istituto Italiano di Studi Orientali. My PhD project deals with the history of Indological Studies in Italy during the Risorgimento, in a transnational and multidisciplinary perspective. I also focused my attention on bilingualism, translation and religious identities in Central and South Asia. Since my MA studies I developed an interest in the practice of funerary lament as depicted in Sanskrit literature.
