È stato pubblicato il bando per i 19 Dottorati dell’Università di Cagliari, tra i quali è anche il corso di Dottorato in PHILOLOGICAL AND LITERARY, HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL STUDIES, che comprende nel Curriculum “Antichità e Medioevo” la nostra “Lingua e Letteratura Sanscrita”, specialmente per “Studi rivolti all’India premoderna e alla continuità della tradizione, condotti con metodi linguistici, filologici e storico-ricostruttivi in particolare su fonti vediche, epiche e tecniche (Vyākaraṇa, Nyāya, Mīmāṃsā, Alaṃkāraśāstra).

Il bando rimarrà aperto fino al 28 settembre 2026. Le procedure selettive potranno svolgersi, secondo le modalità stabilite dal bando, tra il giorno 1 ottobre 2026 e il giorno 23 ottobre 2026. Le immatricolazioni inizieranno il 3 novembre 2026. Le attività dottorali inizieranno il 16 novembre 2026.

The call for the nineteen PhD programmes at the University of Cagliari has been published. It includes the PhD programme in
PHILOLOGICAL AND LITERARY, HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL STUDIES,
which covers ‘SANSKRIT LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE’ within the ‘Antiquity and the Middle Ages’ curriculum’, specifically for ‘Studies focused on Pre-modern India and the continuity of tradition, performed following linguistic, philological, and historical-reconstructive methods, with special regard to Vedic, Epic, and Technical sources (Vyākaraṇa, Nyāya, Mīmāṃsā, Alaṃkāraśāstra)’.

The deadline for applications is 28 September 2026. The selection procedures will take place between 1 October 2026 and 23 October 2026.
Enrolment will begin on 3 November 2026.
